House of the Big Wheel, by Kona

You might recognise Barry Wicks from issue 6 of Privateer. He rode the TransRockies and famously had to resort to peeing on his hands to keep warm. This promo video for Kona's new 29'ers is great. As Wicks says: "Mountain biking is not just about getting rad on jumps, or shredding the gnar. It’s about getting rad period, and I think we are showing another way to do just that. For us, it’s about going out and just hammering it all the way to the floor every time, no matter what."
We'd have to agree (we think) - and what a trail!



All things being well, we're going to be joining a Kona-sponsored team at the 24hrs in the Old Pueblo in Arizona this coming February, if the riding's anything like this, it should be an incredible race.
